Hi, Atlantic City is now the neighborhood of Ghent...if you call or write to Elmwood cemetery..or Forrest Lawn cemetery in Norfolk, VA..they should be able to check out their listings for your man. If you don't know when the marriage took place..then just go back a few years from the birth of their first child..5 or 10 years at the most..then when you call the cemeteries..go forward from a guessed marriage date..to a guessed death date..and ask them to check their records for his burial within a time span of years. They are very nice people who work at Elmwood and Forrest Lawn..they really are kind. hope this helps, Susan in VA..ps My ancestor lived in Atlantic City too..and he was married to my great granny in Mathews county, VA...wonder if we are related? =) Plus the Kirn Memorial Library in Norfolk has very old city directories..they have my great grand dad living there for many years..when they drop off the city directory..it's for one of two reasons..they moved or died. It's a good way to track a possible death date. >Subject: [VANORFOL-L] Ewell surname >Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII >Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit > >I am trying to locate information on a Jesse Ewell who married a Mary >Boggs in >the Norfolk county area.
