We're looking for a few good people! As we've discussed in the previous two issues of our monthly newsletter--the Exchange--we're implementing our plan to open county web sites for every county in the United States, and to pass responsibility for those counties to volunteers who want to become project members and who are dedicated to our goal of free access to genealogical data online. We're also looking for volunteers to administer the State GenExchange pages. For more information, please visit our About the GenExchange page. The implementation of this plan has been in the works for some time, and will take some time to fully implement. Consequently we will open individual states up for adoption at a rate of one to two per month. Currently only New York is open for adoption. Virginia and Iowa will be opened for adoption during April. A schedule of state openings will be posted at the GenExchange soon, and will be published in an upcoming edition of our monthly newsletter--the! Exchange.
