    3. I spent some time reading the file mentioned above. The record is on ancestry.com and contains 45 pages. Most interesting was a reference that *John "**was an Ensign in the company commanded by Captain Jacob Van Aernam, an uncle of John-* per letter from John Dennis (Image 42) of the Regiment commanded by Col. Phillip P. Schuyler" Here is other info- I tried to document which image each detail was on. Arlene John Van Aernam Junior (Image 32) abt 6 mo older than Jane (Image 59) d. June 17 1826 town of Cicero, Onondaga County, NY (Image 38) was an Ensign in the company commanded by Captain Jacob Van Aernam, an uncle of John- per letter from John Dennis (Image 42) of the Regiment commanded by Col. Phillip P. Schuyler (others named) (b. May 15, 1755 Lived near Guilderland. (Image 59-60) November 12, 1838- Jane was 84 May 15 last (b. May 15, 1754)** (Image 31) List the children June 3, 1778 – John Van Aernam (maybe Junior) married Genny Van Loon June 3, 1779 – Gertrude was born- 1st daughter ? October 2, 1780 – Peter was born 1st son Sept 28, 1782 – Jacob was born 2nd son Sept 30, 1784 – Genny was born 2nd daughter May 11 or 17, 1786 – Elizabeth was born 3rd daughter July 25, 1789 – Cottintha (?) was born 4th daughter (not sure of the spelling but this may be the Diane noted below) November 7, 1792 – Hannah was born 5th daughter June 17, 1796 - John Junior was born 3rd son December 1, 1803 Esther was born (Image 34-38) (34) Dated July 3, 1843, Declaration of Jane: appeared in Onondaga, age 88 (b. 1755), resident of Cicero, Onondaga County NY. John trained in Guilderland, Albany 2 yrs before surrender of Burgoyne at Saratoga. (35-36) Married in Schenectady by a Presbyterian minister Rev Mr. Vrooman.
