Prompted by the posting of the marriage of Wm to Harriet McBride, I did some research into that couple. Their marriage record is found, with image, on the Family Search pilot site: http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=allCollections&r=-1 In the 1900 census I found William in Kalamazoo married to a Harriet in 1876; in 1910 they are in Hopkins which revealed he was married for the second time, she the first. His death record for 6 July 1918 lists his parents as Aaron and Sophia Dustin (sp?). William and Harriet McBride Vanorman are buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Hopkins, Allegan, MI, 1851-1918. Same cemetery is his brother Aaron, Aaron's wife Mary, and their son Roy. Pics on Find A Grave. The 1900 census on this William says he was born Sept 1849. Tombstone says 1851. I'm not surprised by the date conflict. Several of the other Vanormans in Maplewood have dates slightly different from their death or census dates, suggesting an informant who somewhat guessed at the facts. Harriet and William had no children. William had been previously married to Hannah Armstrong in 1868. They must have divorced. Hannah married again in 1900. Harriet was the dau of James and Caroline McBride. Linda Schwenn
