In reviewing the will of Joseph Van Norman I have "found" things I missed in previous readings. The will is dated September 7, 1810 and was "proved" April 13, 1824. Joseph names all of the children I am aware of- Ephraim, Isaac, Daniel, John, Jessie, Aaron, Susannah, ... Benjamin, equal shares, then Levi (as listed below) and Sarah Fleming "one good cow", and Anna (as listed below). "I give and bequeath to my beloved son Levi three hundred dollars .... except Levi only, he is to pay out of his share seventy dollars to Oliver Brown" "I give and bequeath Sarah Owens, Luman Munson and Lacy Munson the share that my beloved daughter Anna would have had, had she lived, to be equally divided among them." "To my four grandchildren, to wit, Oliver Brown, Sarah Owens, Luman Munson and Lacy Munson..." I believe Anna named in the will is Joseph & Elizabeth's daughter Eliza Anna Van Norman (Elijah) Owens (Thaddeus) Munson. Records indicate she died from 1811 to 1817, her headstone says "Anna Munson May 29, 1811 aged 36 years". I recently found a reference to a newspaper listing "Munson, Anna 34 died, Ontario County Repository, June 5 1810 Mrs. Thad's Munson" I will attempt to find a copy of this listing to see if there is additional information. I show Sarah, Luman & Lacy as her children. Has anyone heard of an Oliver Brown connected to this family? Arlene Van Norman Reees
