Seeking information on James Vance born approximately 1810 in Virginia. He was married in 1854 at Woodbine College to Mary Matilda Wise. In the Grant Co., WI census of 1870 he was sixty years old. According to the census Mary was 34 years old so she would have been in 1836. The census said she was from WI. The census showed the following children at 1870 to be as follows. Margaret, 14; Mary, 10; Henry, 6; Charles, 3. Charles Vance was my grandfather and James Vance my great grandfather. I would appreciate any information on this family. Thank you.
