Vance researchers: I have photocopies of 4 pages of an 1812 King James Bible kept by my McGrew ancestors that contain the following entries (spelling and punctuation in context): "John McGrew and Nancy Vance Was Married in the year of our Lorde September the 19 : 1833" "Abraham McGrew and Susan Vance Maried Frebruary the 21 1839" "Nancy McGrew Which Was Nancy Vance Was Born in the year of our Loard Sept the 2 18_4" (unreadable digit) "Susan Vance Was Borne August the 15 1822" "Jeremiah Vance died october the 14 1840" The 1850 Knox County, Illinois census for Township 10 N 2 E lists: Abram McGrew, 32, farmer, born in Indiana Susan, 27, born in Kentucky and on the same page: John H. McGrew, 38, Carpenter, born in Kentucky Nancy, 35, born in Kentucky also living in the same house: Margaret Vance, 28, born in Kentucky The 1790 census in Kentucky shows these 4 families: David Vance in Woodford Joseph Vance in Fayette Joesph Vance in Woodford George Vance in Lincoln Does anyone have any of these people in their Vance records and possibly be able to tell me if/how they might be related?
