I received my copy of the recent Vance Family Assoc. Newsletter and in scanning the pedigrees, I came across William H. Vance b. Nov. 30, 1775, Pa. who married Hannah Patterson. Does anyone know: 1) Where William lived in Pa. 2) The names of his children 3) Where he died in Pa. This is an outside chance for me. The mother of my G-Grandfather, William H. Neal b. Pa. 1847 (Death certificate ) 1851 (Census), was Mary Vance. I've hunted her husband for years. Even the association cannot come up with a Vance/Neal connection. Of course Neal could be Neel, Neil, Niell, etc. I'm beginning to think that maybe Mr. Neal was her 2nd husband. William H. Neal lived in Allegheny Co., Pa. but I do not know where in Pa. he was born.
