(These are Alabama Graysons; Emeline (born in Mississippi) and her children moved to Texas ca 1880.) William James Grayson was the son of Young W. Grayson and Rebecca Emeline Capell of Marengo County, AL. These entries were written vertically on a "Family Record" page: Young W. Grayson was born 3rd December A.D. 1803 Emeline Capel was born June A.D. 1808 Young W. Grayson and Emeline Capell were married 3rd July A.D. 1828 Wm. Ja. Grayson was born 28th April A.D. 1829 Emeline Vance was born 18th July A.D. 1831 (A barely legible entry follows -- this is what I *think* it says:) Julia (or possibly Louisa) Grayson Prewitt was born Sept. 27th A.D. 1840 These deaths were recorded: Young W. Grayson died 16th March 1846 James Vance died August 29, 1846 Martha Louisa Grayson daughter of Young W.
