Vol. II Wm. Stanley Ray; State Printer of PA; 1898 There was in existence, The Northern Home for Friendless Children, Philadelphia. The book contains 12 pages of pictures and text on this home. According to the book, the home was also called, The Northern Home for Friendless Children and Assoc. Institute for Soldiers' and Sailor's Orphans. It was located at the corner of 23d & Brown Sts.
