William born abt 1786, Susannah born abt 1793 and Thomas born 16 Mar 1791. In the 1860 census Thomas Vance is a neighbor of Christina Vance Colwell, she might be his sister but I can not prove as of yet. Regarding Colwell as a last name it seems to be used interchangeable with the name Caldwell. In the 1850 Census there is a 91 year old Sarah Caldwell in the Thomas Vance household. I believe this is the mother in law of Thomas especially since Thomas'wife has her name sake. Additionally my 2nd great grandfather George W.
