Since we have some new people on the list, I'm going to try again with my quest. I have a Mary Vance b. ca 1810 who married a Mr. Neal - Neel - Neil. The 1850 Census for Allegheny Co., Pa.has a Mary Neel with 2 sons: John 11 and William 4 living with a Jane Kelly 79. There is no Neel husband so he either died or went west in the gold rush. The 1860 Census has Mary living with a family as a housekeeper and William @10 living with the Good family in Ross Twp., Allegheny Co., Pa. There is no John that I can find. Mary Neal died in 1874 in Allegheny Co., Pa. Does anyone have any information regarding a Vance - Neal/Neel/Neil marriage? Thanks so very much. I've been 25 years on this brick wall.
