How is John related to Solomon??? I am searching for a Solomon Vance - born about 1800, probably in TN. He married at age 44 in Lawrence Co, AR (about 1843) (probably a 2nd marriage). I believe him to be the father of my great great grandmother, Lusinda Vance. He died in 1844/45. I do know he had a couple of sons that died near the same time he did - but don't know names or ages.
