Hi I have also wondered that.... My ancestor Joseph Vance who married Nancy Bradley of Abingdon,Va, has had issues with his lineage.We have been unable to stick him with any of the other Vances in the area. What I wonder is....could we see if there are some of the same Genes involved in the Vances from the area.......then he may have been a cousin. At least we could then start to tie him to a family...... Does this manke any sense? Becki
