Does anyone have access to either the Springfield, IL newspaper of 1864 or of Athens, Menard Co., IL? There were family connections in Menard Co. Thomas J. Vance and Emily C. Lasswell were married 7 Mar 1864 in Sangamon Co. and I am hoping that someone could do a look-up for me. We already know Emily's parents were Thomas and Sally but we are hoping to find her inlaws' names...the parents of her husband Thomas J. Vance. I would sure appreciate help on this.
