I have had a look through my details from the Inver parish records and don't have anything that could help you from there. However, I've found some William McConnells in Griffiths Valuation (c. 1857/8) who could be candidates for Robert's father (townland in brackets): Parish: Clondavaddog (Ballyheerin); Donaghmore (Cavan, Upper); Inishkeel (Drumirrin); Mevagh (Tirloughan); Tullyfern (Garrygort & Tirhomin). Re Tirloughan, it looks like that there were at least 2 Williams with more than one property. One of them is listed as an agent, possibly for the Earl of Leitrim who was a landlord. I also checked for Mulhearn and found that there was a Mulhearn family in Donaghmore, in the townland of Carnowen, which isn't far from Cavan, Upper. It may be worth investigating this further. Sorry I can't give you anything more definite. Regards, Ian Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
