Jane Vance, b. Logan Co., VA abt 1848/9; married abt 1865, Evans Ferrell, s/o William and Mahala (Tiller) Ferrell. I am descended from this line through Allen Ferrell, b. Mingo Co., WV, 17 Mar 1889. Allen Ferrell married Jessie Compton 31 Aug 1910 in Logan, Logan Co., WV. They moved soon afterwards to Hellier, Pike County, KY. 2. John Vance, b. Logan Co., VA abt 1850; married two times - 1st 25 Mar 1883 Jane Chapman, b. Pike Co., KY abt 1848 - 2nd Missouri Murphy, b. 1884 VA; Their children were: Amanda Vance, John B. Vance (your line) (d. 1945) and Grover Vance. 3. Elizabeth Vance, b. abt 1855; married N. B. Nichols. I do not know where this information came from so cannot verify that this is correct. Perhaps some other Vance researcher has more information. 4. James Vance, Jr. b. Pike County, KY abt 1857, married 10 Dec 1890, Levisa Stepp. I also am not certain of this information. 5. Amy L. Vance, b. abt 1860, Pike County, KY; married in Logan Co., WV on 9 Sep 1880, John Francisco, b. Logan Co., VA abt 1854; s/o James and Elizabeth Francisco Ferrell. James was an older brother to my grandfather, Allen Ferrell. I have no further information on them. Wish I could be of more help to you.
