(All or most of this info, is passed down via other family members) My Grandfather was Eliase Wesley Vance (1911 - 1977) he was born in Stigler Oklahoma and died in Okemah Oklahoma, he married Tressie Angeline Strong. His fater was a Harmon Matthew Vance (1876 - 1943) Harmon was married to a Arie Amie Sutton. Next is a William Vance (1835 - 1884) William was married to a Lydia Dick. Next is a Joseph Vance (1802-1866) and he was married to Hannah Jane Cooke. Then where my research has came to a screaching halt is with a William Vance ( - ) Married to a Rachel Patterson. The last three on my chart William, Joseph, and William are names that came out of a very old and worn family bible that was found in the basement of my Aunts house. I cannot verify this information with the bible as its in my mothers possession and I've not yet seen it. I am very interested in tying my Vance line together and learning as much as I can about them. Any information or points in the right directions would be greatly appriciated. James W. Tarpley
