In the 1850 Boone Co.,VA census James and Barbara Vance had two children who were seen only on this census and not since then. Anyway I sure can't find them. William Vance was 14 yrs old in 1850 making him born 1835-36. His sister Nancy was 12 yrs old, making her born 1837-38. Their birth place in the census is unreliable since the census taker had everyone on that page born in VA even though the last two children of the Vances were born in Jackson Co., OH. Does anyone know of this William and Nancy? Did they live long enough to find spouses and marry? Where did they live in the 1860 census? Any ideas at all??? Thanks, Carole
