I just posted a response to one of your other Vance threads and thought to add this... NOTE: Chester county PA will abstracts: HUSTON, WILLIAM. Written April 16, 1787. Proved June 20, 1789. Provides for wife Agnes. Two tracts of land in Chichester to sons William and Aaron, containing 121 and 127 acres, subject to legacies of 1/4 their appraised value to daughters Rebecca and Agnes Huston. To daughter Mary Bratten £3. To daughter Elizabeth Vance £3. To Sarah, daughter of son James, deceased, 1 dollar. Remainder to wife Agnes and 6 children, William, Aaron, Rebecca, Agnes, Mary and Elizabeth.Executors: Wife and sons William and Aaron. Wit: William Eyre, John Talbot, John Booth. So it would seem, from what everyone tells me, that Patrick Vance marr to 2nd Elizabeth Houston = bef this Will was written. Apparently Patrick's 1st wife (Sarah Taylor) died prior to his 2nd marriage. If that is the case then Sarah probably died in Cumberland>Franklin CO, PA. I am still trying to sort this family out. I am just now trying to sort out this Taylor and Vance family that you mentioned = currently pulling the Cumberland CO,PA films. My connection to this Patrick Vance is through Andrew Taylor. Here is what "I think I know"... Your Patrick Vance was marr 1st to Sarah Taylor. Ass.u.me that this Sarah was sis/o my Andrew Taylor, both the children of x. Taylor and Sarah Finney. Too much to go into here, but I can send you the reasons why I believe this. Patrick and Sarah (Taylor) Vance had a son John. Apparently this John marr Rebecca Branson. Are we discussing the same family? Here are some quick NOTEs for this Patrick Vance that might help you to answer this question ...
