Anges is listed as widow and said child James Vance is said to have been about 10-13-yrs of age when his mother remarries. A John Vance gave witness to a lawsuit in Russell Co Va ca 1799 between George Fugate and Nancy Agnes (Vance) Mahon. Ben Hill Vance married Ida (mnu not confirmed) and had Lucy b. 1892, Augusta b. 1893, Boyd b. 1896, Eliza b. 1898, Morgan b. 1899, Bill b. 1901, Cora/Cara b. 1902, Paul b. 1903, B.H. 1907 and Bob b. 1911. All the children were born in Texas. Ben and Ida were in Johnson County in the 1910 census. Ben is a widower in the 1920 in Oakdale, Washita, Oklahoma census. His son Boyd is Boyd Mirl Vance b. 25 January 1896. He stated on his WWI Draft Registration that he was born in Alvarado, Texas. Boyd married Ruth H Livingston ca. 1918 and had six known children according to the California Birth Index. Two of their children were twins per the CBI and died before the 1930 Census. Their children per the CBI are: Lucile M b. 1918, Donald L. b. 12/1919 d. 2000, Clyde B b. 1921, Betty D. b. 1926 and the twins Paul and Pauline b. 1928.
