Looking for a family of Simon Van Arsdale born just after 1800 in NYC, I think. His wife is named Elizabeth and they supposedly had a son named Williah H. Van Arsdale. In 1850 Simon was deceased and widow Elizabeth was living in same household as William. He was a police officer. Anyone recognize this family?> -- Alvie L.
