A "Roll Call" sounds wonderful! I've followed with much interest all of the "Van" information placed on the list, but never contributed. Better late than never. My brick wall is my GGGfather, Garret (B.) Vanarsdall. Lived in Mercer Co., KY until late 1850's, then moved to Blue Twp, Jackson Co. MO. Born in KY ca1815, md Rebecca Van Fleet in Washington Co. Ky 1835. I think he had brother "Peter". I also think he was related (son or nephew) to Simon, b 1777 NJ. Garret lived next to Simon 1840 & 1850. May be some of the "Lost" descendants of Simon of PA referred to by Mark Alan Thomas in his recent publications. Garret's son, Jesse, md Margret Donahue (Donoho) of Jackson Co. Mo. Had children Rebecca, Mary Frances and son, "Willie" plus others.
