Hi Helen, Why don't you give us what you have in your line? It would help to identify the Van branch. I have one interesting fact to add to this. There was a Hixson Blade married to a Mary, who I believe was a Van, in Licking Co., OH in the 1850's, 60's. Hixson is NOT a common given name, I don't think, and I wonder if there is any connection to the Nathaniel Hixon Van. The reason I belive Mary, noted above, was a Van is that a William Vanasdal was living with Mary and her husband and their children. The relationship was not given, and he was not a hired hand. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Helen Long" <hdlong@gwtc.net> To: <VanArsdale-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, August 17, 2000 3:27 PM Subject: Re: [VanArsdale-L] Roll Call > Marsha, > My grandfather Isaac VanAusdle was a diabetic, as was my mother and > myself. > > Helen > -----Original Message----- > From: Marsha Tate <mtate@libby.rbls.lib.il.us> > To: VanArsdale-L@rootsweb.com <VanArsdale-L@rootsweb.com> > Date: Thursday, August 17, 2000 1:41 PM > Subject: Re: [VanArsdale-L] Roll Call > > > >Oops! > > > >In my excitement to agree with Terri's idea I forgot to send my > >information. > > > >My "brick wall" is finding the parents of Levi VanArsdale, a blacksmith, > >born ca1800 Drakesville/Chester, Morris County, NJ.
