There were several pockets of Van Arsdales in PA in the 1800's the primary grouping being in Buck Co PA. You might try the Spruance LIbrary of the Historical Society of Bucks Co in Doylestown, PA. Another senario is that a few VanArsdales remained in the York Co, today's Adams County PA. Isaac and Esther Hoogelten Van Arsdale remained and their family stayed in this area for some generations. Hwever I show their children as: William Sally, Isaac, and Garrret., Hannah, Chariety, Hezekiah. There was also a Cornelious living there. Again, I do not see a John for that date, so I would suggest you try Bucks Co, PA. Judy
