He was a miller, born in PA. His wife's name is not legible. They live in house #45, family #46 At the very top of the next page there is listed a Rachel, age about 67, and a Mikial, appears to be about 25, but there is no surname attached to these two names, so one might assume they are Vans. However, they live in house #46, Family 47. I have thought that Rachel could be John's mother, or even grandmother, but I have no proof whatsoever, and can't find any other records on Rachel or Mikial. I have not been able to find the parents of John, or his death date or place (but after 1901) either. Do you think these two Rachels could be the same person? Barb Johnson barbJ@prodigy.net
