I know he was in New York during the revolutionary war had a brother John who is referenced in the book Evacuation Day 1783 by James Riker. I have undocumented information that his father was John Vanarsdale b:1729 married Deborah Vanpelt. Grandfather was Stoffel Vanarsdale married to Magdalena Van Hengelen. If anyone has info they would be willing to share It would be greatly appreciated.
