Jim, Yes I live 10 miles from Keokuk, Iowa. What phone numbers do you need? You wouldn't happen to reside in that general area? If so, I might try to get some addresses or phone numbers from you. Alot of confusions on his marriages Suppossedly, he married Louisa May Muir(daughter of an army doctor from Scotland and an Sac Indian maiden) in 1833. This was "the first marriage in Warsaw". The account is supposed to be Valencourt, but it says Mr. Van Arsdal and could be someone else, maybe a brother or cousin. Another reference says his first marriage was in 1858 upon his return from California to a Louisa Wright and later Adeline Taylor. Another mystery to sort out. ----- Original Message ----- From: Linda Hayes <linhayes@interl.net> To: <VanArsdale-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, February 20, 2000 2:14 PM Subject: RE: [VanArsdale-L] Simon Van Orsdale > Jim, > > In the 1868 Lee Co., Iowa Gazetteer Directory- > > Valencourt Van Ausdall, res n e cor Blondeau and 11th > > There are many, many spelling variations.
