    3. I ran across the following brief note in the Friday, August 5, 1881 edition of the Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania paper "The Valley Sentinel". I'll try to reproduce it here exactly as it was printed in the paper. Mrs. Fletcher Vanorsdel, of Clear Creek Sta- tion, Saunders county, Neb., is visiting her mother, Mrs. Jacob Zug, in Mt. Holly. She has been in very delicate health. I found the following marker inscriptions for Mrs. "V", her parents and a brother recorded at the Cumberland County Historical Society as being in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery in Mt. Holly Springs, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. "VAN ORSDEL, Kate C. Zug, wife of F. Van Orsdel, d. Feb. 17, 1883 aged 35-3-13" "ZUG, Jacob B., July 11, 1877 aged 56-5-0" "ZUG, Elizabeth C., wife of Jacob B. Zug, d. Dec. 18, 1884 aged 64-5-6" "ZUG, John Carey, son of Jacob and Elizabeth Zug, Jan. 17, 1850 - Mar. 12, 1856" There are several other Zugs in this cemetery, but I'm not able to connect them to Jacob and Elizabeth at this point. I don't know anything about Fletcher Vanorsdel so I'm hopeful this information will help other Van researchers. Chuck Vanasdalan Carlisle, PA
