    3. Glee, I'm Jerry Carden, from Illinois, originally from Iowa. My grandmother's line spelled their last name Van Osdol too. We descend from the same Henry Banta/Rachel Brower line that you mention. I'm assuming that your Jacob had brother's named Hendrick and Abraham? I descend from Hendrick AND Abraham- as Abraham had a daughter, also named Rachel, that married Hendrick's son Peter (first cousins). That match produced another Henry Banta that continues down to my line. All the info I have is gleaned from this list and other things that have been mailed me, but I can provide names dates for this particular line. There are several Banta/Van marriages in the line.
