Bryce- Yes, I'm still here too! I've been VERY silent as I've not been doing much ancestral research of late. Too busy with doing the work of the living- but the desire to search my roots remains strong and I keep my files at hand and my subscription to the list in the hope that some new snippet of information will come across the net. Seeing the post from a 'Van Osdol' got me digging records out, and I find that the name change in my line occurred with Theodorus Williamson Van Osdol, b. 1781 in Conewago, son of Simon Van Arsdale, b. 11 Nov. 1750. BTW- nice to be in touch again! Jerry Carden BStevens wrote: > > ...And my Granny spelled it Vanosdol, while many of her cousins spelled it > Van Osdol, and a few went back and forth.
