They mention that Issac and Mary Brooks had a son, Simon, in 1772 (Camden Co, NJ). He married Sarah Van Bryke, 1798, in Mercer Co. KY.They had 4 sons; Abraham, Simon, Barney, and John Brooks Van Rensselar. The last is the only son that seems to have this long name. John Brooks married Sarah Ann Davenport, Oct. 4, 1841. He died in KY, July 29, 1864. This is where my records end. I am trying to find a bridge to my great grandfather, John H. Van Arsdale. He fathered Hallworth Van Arsdale around 1885 in KY.

Meg, Do you know if any of Isaac and Mary's children stayed in New Jersery? I am looking for the ancestors of Levi Van Arsdale who was a blacksmith in Morris County, NJ. He was born ca.1803 would probably have been the age of Isaac and Mary's grandchildren.
