My father and most of my male members of the family worked for either Hercules or Atlas Explosives for most of my life. The 2 plants were only about 10 miles apart, max. The Corporate headquarters is in Delaware. The local plant has been taken over by or sold to DynaNobel. During WWII Herculse kept my father our the service since he was working for them. My family on my father's side came from VA I am looking for John Studyvin/Studivan who may have married Sarah 'Sally' Bourne. He may have served in the Revolutionary War with Flower Swift. My Studyvin's weren't Quaker but lived with them and John's son Stephen Studyvin, my great-great-grandfather married a Quaker girl in Ohio.
