VA about May 7, 1840 and came to Ohio perhaps by 1850. His father supposedly was Samuel Hale, although I have been unable to document that. I cannot find Samuel in the 1840 census for Montgomery Co. Va. If Samuel is the father, then his wife must have died before 1843 when he married a Rachel Clawson in Ohio. The other possibility is that George's father is some other Hale. I have just about run out of options and resources and would appreciate any information that may shed some light on the matter. Thanks
