I wanted to let people know that this is a very good site. Easy to use. I have found William Turner Breeding's Death Certificate, his second wife's info and c. o. d., which I did not know of her. I have found a bunch of transplanted Pulaskians: Breedings and Ransoms. I also found a copy of Wm. T.'s son in law's death certificate, A J Nunn. Also some cousins that were infants when they died, My uncle was a coal miner in WV. It has been a very productive site for me, not all counties have info, not everything is completely covered, but it makes me wish Virginia and other states would make this info available. That will never happen, they would loose to much money on their copies of these. Illinois has a website to find marriage info. But not the actual certificates/licenses. You can view and copy THE actual certificate of death. Hurrah for WV!!!! -----Original Message----- From: Tami Ramsey <tami.ramsey@adelphia.net> Sent: Nov 17, 2005 12:05 PM To: VAMONTGO-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [VAMONTGO] researching in West Virginia For those of you researching in West Virginia I thought the following might be helpful. Tami Ramsey It's not complete, but there's a new database available that has information on over one million West Virginia births, deaths, and marriages. The West Virginia Division of Culture and History hosts it; you can search it at http://www.wvculture.org/vrr ==== VAMONTGO Mailing List ==== This list is intended for the exchange of genealogical information and questions concerning Montgomery Co, VA, families.
