Good morning folks, Can anyone shed any light on this family? Social Security info indicates that John Audrey Murdock, son of John Alexander Murdock and Martha Ann Hess, was born in a place identified as 'Cambria, VA' in 1912. He died in Radford in 1979. The Virginia GNIS returns only a place known as 'Cambria Cave' in Montgomery County. Thanks, Bruce Murduck <[email protected]>
Bruce! Cambria was a small incorporated town bordering on the north side of Christiansburg, VA. It was annexed by Christiansburg sometime between 1965-1970. It was originally called "Bangs", and built up around the train station there. The natives from there still call it Cambria and proud of it.
