Staunton, Va is in Augusta county. I don't know what time period you are looking in but the University of VA has a wonderful site dealing with Augusta Co during the Civil War Period. It is called the Valley of the Shadow--there are hundreds of documents on line: church records, military records, letters diaries etc..
