I am looking for any more information about an Alexander or James MYERS / MAIRS / MARS, who is a possible father to my 3great grandmother, Catharine MIRES / MYERS b ca 1792-1796 VA or NC, d after 1860 census (Washington Co VA). She married Moses LINDSEY 1813 Washington Co. VA. I have compiled from various sources these records of Alexander and James MYERS. They are not necessarily the same person. Looking for descendants of any likely Alexander who could have had a daughter b 1792 to 1796. Especially interested in Alexander (and James) who were in Dunsmores War. The most likely suspects as possible father of my Caty are a Samuel, Peter, Joseph, John, James, Jacob, Isaac, Henry, David, Christopher, Alexander, or Adam MYERS (MARRS/MIRES/MOYERS etc). Seems these people had lots of sons and they named them all the same names. The task is daunting, but I will check out all leads. Thanks for your help.
