my Hessian Johannes Wilhelm Siebert deserted in Savanna Georgia in July l782 and seems to have married Catherine Peck in l793 in Montgomery County VA. I am interested in the time frame l782-l793 and what he might have done in that time. An Oath or indenture comes to mind. He was a blacksmith and I have been unable to find his military trade and wondered if an indenture may have taught that trade, etc. Any suggestions as to that information appreciated Charles Severs Louisville, Ky
