My great grandmother died in Blacksburg between 1880 and 1900. Was there a local newspaper that might have carried an obituary for her? And where might I find an archive of such a newspaper? I can't find any record of her birth or marriage and don't want to order a death certificate with a 20 year span to search. The only area newspaper I can locate online is the Roanoke Times.
