I have limited information on the three at home but not on me now. From what I remember, Capt. Sumter was awarded a cane from the state of SC for his support of the Southern cause. The cane supposedly was in the Cburg area for many years. His son Charles worked for N&W as a detective. He lived in Cburg first then Rnoke. He died of a heart attack in Memphis, TN and was brought back to Cburg to be buried in Sunset. One source I found also lists him as a lawyer. Any info you might have would be appreciated.
