I do not mean to barge in, but I am wondering if in your research a Bessie Ellen Shepherd,sometime Sheppard ever came up. That was my grand mother. She married Wm. Harvey Graves. My dad, Walter was almost 40 years older than me and died when I was much too young to appreciate family links back then. Grandma died when I was about 7 and grandpa before I was born. There are only two of his siblings left and I really need to go up to Roanoke and talk a long time with the one still there. Seems dad you to say his grandpa's name was Wm. Crockett Sheppard.????? I am not terribly brilliant with the computer, but I hope I can find my way back to this.place again. If you can give me directions to anyone who might be able to tell me anything about grandma's side of the family, I would greatly appreciate it. All I know is she lived in Blacksburg.
