New to List, Ephriam Skiles Jr. moved to Montgomery Co. from Maryland in the late 1700s. On 1 Aug 1797, the Montgomery County, Va., court named Richard Guthrie guardian of Phebe and Elizabeth, and stated that Ephraim had died. Daniel Howe was security for the guardianship. I have Joseph Skiles in Montgomery Co.: --Marrying Mary Polly Burton Anderson, widow of George Anderson in 1818. --!820 Census --1830 Census --Witnessing the will/probate Mary Guthrie Skiles Scott'shusband in 1809 --1840 Census in Pope County Illinois The Anderson and Skiles offspring migrated to Pope County Illinois in the 1840/1850s. Trying to find information to prove that Joseph is the son of Ephraim Skiles Jr. and that Joseph, Jacob, and David Skiles of Pope county.are the sons of Joseph. Any help??? Bests, Glenn
