Born abt 1755 and married to Margaret . He was a constable there when the area was Montgomery and also same when it became part of Wythe in 1890. He left Wythe in abt 1803 ,presumabley, since he and wife Margaret sold their 290 acres to Hugh Johnson/Johnston at that time.. Came to Floyd Co.,Ky by 1806 as he and family appear in the John Graham trading post ledger book and on census records afterwards.. Came to east Ky with Sons,Adam bn abt 1784, William bn abt 1795, Joseph bn abt 1798. Daughters Catherine bn abt 1792 and Mary bn abt 1797. Walkers Creek was populated with Germans, some of whom were escaped,non patrioted or Deserted Hessian Soldiers. Adam Gearhart may have been one of those?
