Hi! I am new to the list and need to introduce my research. One of my greatgrandmothers was Oliva Francis WHEELER, born July 1861Giles Co., Va , died after 1931 in Giles Co.,married to James A. SCOTT, May 1, 1879 in Pulaski Co., Va. Though I haven't yet found her date of death, I do know her parents names and am very interested in connecting to someone researching her father's line. Oliva WHEELER was the daughter of Alcain WHEELER and Mary S. CRINER who married in Giles Co.,Va 27 Sept.1860.Alcain, was 22 and the son of Eliza J. WHEELER of Montgomery Co., Va Alcain WHEELER is hard to track as his name never appears the same way twice.I have found : 1860 Giles Co., Va Census - Alvanon WHEELER , 21 , lawyer 1860 Confederate Army Enlistment - 36th Va - A.C. WHEELER 1870 Pulaski Co., Va Census - Elkene WHEELING - 31, farmer 1880 Giles Co., Va Census - Alcane WHEELER- 41, farmer then nothing. Children of Alcain WHEELER and Mary S. CRINER : Oliva F. - b.
