From Wythe Co Deed Book 10, p. 481: "This indenture made this eighteenth day of November eighteen hundred twenty-six between James Davis, Hiram Davis, Isaac Davis, Abraham Davis, Archibald Davis heirs of William Davis deed of the one part and John Lambert of the county of Tazewell and the state of Virginia of the other part." I am looking for descendents of any of the above Davises. William Davis's wife was Priscilla Unknown. The earliest deed I have for William from Wythe Co Deed Book 1, p. 11: "This indenture made the fourth day of May in the year of the Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety between Henry Harmon and Nancy his wife of the County of Wythe of the one part and William Davis of the State of Virginia and county aforesaid ...one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in Wythe county on the middle fork of Walkers creek containing two hundred acres and joining the land the said Davis now lives on."
