I am looking for William Wimmer who used to have an e-mail address of _umpire412@aol.com_ (mailto:umpire412@aol.com) but that bounces now. Does anyone on the list know of this William Wimmer and if so would youplease have him contact me concerning the Wimmer family. Thanks, Carlisle Bowling William, Quite some time ago I had communication from you on the Wimmer Family. I have another Wimmer cousin that is directly related to Thomas Jefferson Wimmer Sr and wants to visit his grave. I have transcribed into my FTM, that he is buried in Huffs Cemetery in Roanoke County, Virginia. She is going to visit that cemetery IF we can locate it. I have that information sourced to you. My question is if TJ Sr. is in Huffs Cemetery in Roanoke County, where is that cemetery? The second part of that question is---do you mean Huffville Church Cemetery, Terry's Fork, Floyd County, Virginia (a cemetery that I am very familiar with since my great great great grandmother is buried in the first row immediately behind the church--she was Hannah Walinda Lemon Wimmer married to John Wimmer, Sr. Would love to get an update on your Wimmer files and I am more than happy to provide you with my Wimmer file as well. Thanks so very much. Carlisle Bowling _Zarvon@aol.com_ (mailto:Zarvon@aol.com)

Surnames: Smith, Halfpane, Billups, Chapman Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/yAC.2ACE/1008 Message Board Post: I'm searching for any information on Parrot Smith (b. bef. 1786 in Va) who married Hannah Halfpane (b. bef. 1788 in VA) in Montgomery Co. on September 3, 1804. I know there were several Smiths who lived in the county around this time. There was a Henry Smith who married Elizabeth Unknown about 1798 in Montgomery Co. This couple had a son also named Parrot Smith who was born in 1800. Later, Henry's family moved to Warren Co., IN. Since Parrot or Parott is an unusual given name, I am hoping to find a connection between these two families. I have identified three children for Parrot and Hannah Smith, but I'm sure there were others: 1. John Smith, died around 1850 2. Elizabeth "Elsie" Smith, b. abt. 1819 in VA, married Thomas Billups in Putnam Co., (W)VA 3. Mary "Nancy" Smith, b. abt. 1821 in VA, m. Henry J. Chapman, 6 June 1839 in Gallia Co., OH. This couple also lived in Putnam Co., (W)VA. Mary Smith Chapman died abt 1849 in Putnam Co. In 1850, Hannah Halfpane Smith was head of a household in Putnam Co. which included four of the five children of Mary Smith and Henry J. Chapman. I'm not sure if Parrot Smith died before the 1850 census was taken. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has information on this Smith family.
