Hi, In sorting through papers I found some old photos of Elliot 'Bud' Brown and his family. He was born 1884 in Belmont, Montgomery Co. His son James lived in Ohio. I'd like to pass these photos along to a proven descendant. Any takers? Barbara

Nola, I did see you message on VAMONTGO-D and appreciate you letting us know about the cemetery. Sorry we missed some of it. I do not have any people in the cemetery that are of my family. Do not know about Ruth. I will send this message to her. If you do not mind I will send the part across the street to the Tombstone Project giving you credit. The only problem is that the Project will not make corrections or additions. So, I will have to figure out how to give it another name, maybe just add the word additions. Let me know if this is agreeable with you. One more thing, I have a lot on the Murray family. Let me know what line you are working on. Maybe, I can help there. Thanks, GiGi
I just visited the Montgomery section of the VAGENWEB project, and while glancing through the list of cemetaries, I noticed that the 'East Hill' Cemetary had been included (not to be confused with the East Hill in Salem). I was able to spend a week this summer trudging through old cemetaries, and East Hill was one of them, so I have photos of several of the tombstones, which I have listed at the end of this email. However, I am hoping that perhaps Ms. Hale & Ms. Gardner, who created this database, are recieving this email, and are also living in the area. As I scanned it, I realized the list was incomplete. The cemetary was apparently once larger than it is now, but when Rt. 11 was put in, it cut the cemetary in half. For that reason, there are a number of tombstones on the other side of the street, surrounded by a wrought iron fence, which are also part of the cemetary (the entrance is by the post office). Hopefully, someone can include these in the database in the near fut! ure. Meanwhile, I would like to thank Ms. Hale & Ms. Gardner for their already wonderful work. It's a shame I didn't check the page prior to my trip -- a learning experience! On the other hand, I seem to have missed some folks, anyway! Please note the following are not exact transcriptions, only enough information for you to correlate them with your family. If you have further interest, please email me. Also, in some -- not all, and I don't think many -- cases, I have obtained a copy of the obituary, which I would be willing to send. The tombstones I photographed are: Della Taylor Pendleton b.
