Hello, & " Happy Thanksgiving ", Here are two sites which helps with some research,especially involving a social security number. http://www.informus.com/ssnlkup.html This one gives you usually within two years the year and state a number was issued.It also has some other things to help. http://www.ancestry.com/ancestry/search/ssdi_index.asp You do not have to have the ss # , search by name,issued state, birth date,etc. Since it's Thanksgiving and many families will be together for the weekend,especially with some of the older family members,now would be a good time to ask a few questions,take some notes,maybe record some stories and information from those people who still remember what we are looking for.
