According to the Mecklenburg County Highway Map, Woodpecker Creek runs somewhat parallel to route 640 and lies between Organville and Hansford Crossroads in the west-central part of the county. One of my ancestors, Andrew Elam, lived along Woodpecker Creek in the 1830's. I do not have any more information than this.
